anybody played Solider of fortune 2?

i recently installed this, and the whole game play is like that, my friend burned me a copy of the game, i told him why is this happening, he just said i made the exact copy, and reason why this is happening??

my computer can play this game at full settings, but im not sure why the game play looks like that

yeah, i noticed that, i tried updating from v1.0 to v1.02 to 1.03(gold) and still the textures are crap, i used mega games to get a nocd patch, thinking it might be the actual cd, which most likely it is since ive played sof2 many times, but each time ive install using the cd, it keeps turning out like that....any suggestions random murderer??

Hmmm....try downloading the torrent cracked verison and see what happens.

I've had this happen to me several times as I've installed and uninstalled the game quite a few times over the years. It's due to a bad file transfer from your optical media/and or possibly a bad disk image (if you downloaded the game) to your installation directory. One of the texture paks was corrupted durring installation and needs to be replaced. I would just delete one at a time and replace the deleted pk3 file with a direct copy from the install CD but if my memory serves me correctly, copy your textures0.pk3 over from disc 2 to your base folder inside the game install directory and have it overwrite and replace the original. If that didn't help then most likely you have or now have dirty/defective media and will need a replacement.

For me, the first time I had this issue was when I had a downloaded copy of the game and then bought a retail CD Key that I purchased from eBay (saved quite a few dollars at the time). One of the downloaded install disk images was corrupted and caused this very error everytime I installed/re-installed from this image/media. I went out and borrowed a friends retail disks and made alcohol 120% rips for myself and that seemed to solve the problem. After doing some google research on the problem, I learned that it was a bad file transfer of one of the paks and replacing it with a good one should fix the problem. Also, there is a program called Wiser2.exe that will examine the files in your install directory and check for any corrupted files and notify you. See if you can not locate a copy and try it out. Hope that helps!

BTW, this is still a great game! Definitely better than the original Counter Strike. Hugely supported by the community and probably the 2nd most modded game in existance although I could be wrong on that part.
