BF2, BF2142 issue

Please forgive me if this has already been covered but I used the search tool with no luck.

Anyway here is my question. I have an HD2900xt with the latest drivers. I have the latest drivers on everything in my rig however I cant seem to shake the G-D DAMN BLOCKY SHADOWS on the vehicles and guns! When I had an 8800GTS everything looked perfect. Now I upgraded my card and the shadows went back to what they were on my X1900.:banghead:

Does ANYONE know how to fix this blocky shadow problem?

It probably has to do with the video card itself. My setup does the same exact thing. It also did it on my old setup with a p4 3GHz and an nvidia 6800xt. I don't let it bother me.

ATI always had shadow problems as back as i can remember with the 9700pro in game such as homeworld and most recently with BF2 and the X19XX cards, wasnt aware the same happened with the X29XX cards.

This is magical. I guess a 250 buck video card renders shadows better than a 400 dollar "flagship" GPU. Since this has been going on since the 9700 I dont have any hope of this being rectified for the X29XX series.
