oblivion 4 help

I need a no cd fix for TES4: Oblivion. I've tried gamecopyworld.com and when i tried to run the game after i downloaded the fix an error came up, and it made me reinstall oblivion. Can anyone help me out a little here? I'm really not sure what i did wrong. Thanks in advance! :)

Oblivion has NO copy protection AT ALL (btw, I have a legit copy so no calling me a pirate), so why you need a no cd fix is beyond me.

Oblivion doesnt use any copy protection, but it does still check the CD, hence the need for a no CD patch.

no i actually have and installed the game, i just need a patch to get past the "no cd" error
i've tried to use them but it just messed it up and i had to reinstall oblivion :shadedshu

Yea the updates screw up the no cd and you gotta reinstall it. Ive been through this with oblivion a bunch of times. Just dl alcohol 120%, and mount the ISO to a virtual drive and bam works every time perfectly.

You know, if you didn't have a legitimate copy of the game (and you weren't just trying to No-CD crack it), most people would consider that a piracy how-to ;).

Well he never said he pirated it. I make ISO's of most of my games as a backup and use them to run the games anyways.

And if he had pirated it, why would he need to know how to rip the disc? :p

ha no i can guarentee i didn't pirate it.

you could download poweriso and "rip" the iso from cd onto your hard drive then install alcohol 120% (google is your friend ;) ) and with the iso you ripped of the cd use alcohol 120% virtual drive to mount it and hey presto :toast:

if you had bothered to read through the thread you would have read he said its NOT a pirated copy he just doesnt want to insert the disc everytime he plays which i understand because i do the same with all my legal games

Of course people will immediately accuse Shibs of being a pirate!

I personally have had to use a crack on a game since it would install the game and startup first time round, but the next time it just kept on saying insert the disc after making a wierd clicking sound from the drive.
Only on that one game until I had the disc resurfaced.

Only one thing to say to help.

Uh yea you should just buy the game, though backing up your ISO from your disk is legit still:cool:
