I believe they highest they made for 400fsb's were 2.8. Even if you do find a northwood at that speed it won't clock over 3.6

Because...Intel did not ever make a 3.0GHz 400MHz CPU! The 2.8GHz 400MHz SL7EY is the fastest 400MHz FSB CPU you'll find. You'll also find 5/2.60GHz SL6xx...5/2.50GHz SL6xx...9/2.40GHz SLxxx...9/2.20GHz SLxxx...and 15/2.00GHz SLxxx...(eWiz). To save you a little time, The SL7EY is in England and will cost 57.Pounds (eBay). If you do find a 3.0GHz it will be worth a fortune!!!!!!!:):)

You can find 3.0GHz in 533MHz FSB, in 800MHz FSB and Higher (1333MHz) FSB. INTEL Did not make the 3.0GHz in 400MHz FSB! Prescott does not have 400MHz FSB.

My hat comes off to you!!! CPU World does list the SL6YH as a 3.0GHz, 400MHz FSB. I also checked Intel's CPU Filter Summary, which lists all their production CPU's to date. The SL6YH is not listed there. Neither is the SL6YG (2.8GHz/400MHz). I also noticed that the link to these two CPU's is greyed out! Maybe it is one of those situations where Intel made a ZigZag in their Roadmap. They did it with the P4 580/680. I don't blame you for looking for a SL6YH though, cause I saw it in black and white myself. Go to Intel Filter Summary. You'll find specs on all of their product. I'm looking for a P4 580J or a 581. If you find one of these let me know. Good Luck

One final note: The P4 2.8GHz SL7EY CPU is at one of the most unusual sites I've ever stumbled upon! Blue_Anteater at Blue Anteater Memory Emporium. Along with memory and other computer parts you can buy genuine impala skins, or Blesbok skins, Nguni, Springbok!!!!Interesting site though.
