Im not the one having this problem... it's my friend. So any information you guys give me at the moment, i will not be able to test right away. But feel free to give suggestions and tips on solving the problem.
Anyways... my friend has a BFG nvidia 7600 gt in his Dell dimension 9200. He plays games like call of duty. He played fine for about an hour, when all of the sudden his screen froze, and the audio went into a loop, replaying sounds every second. *ticka ticka ticka ticka ticka* This goes on for about a minute, and then it goes to a blue screen. I don't have a picture of it yet, but it basicly says...
"nvdisp4.dll has been stuck in an infinite loop" and "windows has shut down to prevent damage to your computer"
On his graphics card that came with his computer, which is an ATI 1300, it works fine.
I think it's a hardware compatibility problem... but im not sure how to fix it..
HELP?!?!?!? :ohwell:
