View Full Version : Is this Frame Rate Good on BF2

I recently upgraded to X1950 pro AGP 256MB Video Card. With Everything Max and with Anti-Aliasing at 6X on BF2 I get min of 75 frames and max of 95 frames in most of the maps.

I used ATI Tray Tool to measure the frames.

Is this a good frame rate?

Should I expect the same kind of frame rates in BF2142.

See my profile for system specs.

Thanks

that sounds about right but you can forget those fps in bf2142, you will get about 1/2-3/4 of bf2 fps ;)

Ya with a 1950 I am showing off to all Monster Giants here who SLI and Crossfire with latest VCs. I am just asking if that is what I should expect.

those are real good at those settings bro you're fine :)
you can always try a little overclocking on it if you aren't satisfied

I think you can easily judge whether it's a good frame rate by the way your game is performing...You don't need us to tell you if your fps is good or bad. :toast:

good point ravenas lol
I get 45-85 fps on my MBP with fairly high settings and it runs pretty smooth

Everything is smooth (tho sometimes its choppy when the soldier is walking, may be because he is wounded he he).

I will try on BF2142 and see if its the same.

This is my last upgrade on the AGP side.

Cool. I'd probably get 200fps then. :p

If your monitors refresh rate is at 60Hz, you won't see more than 60fps regardless of what your video card is pushing out.
