nope. you need 680i, p35 , x38 or higher.

actually i think some of them do support 45nm.here is a list of which asus boards support 45nm.as you can see the p965 chipset is there.they only seem to support it in overclocking mode.

the p965 isn't designed to work with 45nms, but if they come up with patchs and bioses, i guess theres no problems. check with your manu.

the gigabyte ones support it (at least rev.2 or rev. 3.3 or maybe with bios update)

Yes IRA your mobo is compatible with the 45nm as are about 99% of p965 boards:toast:
Just update to the latest bios :D

ok .. so when teh new quads drop ill be grabbing a 45 nm if they clock well .. or a q6600 if they dont ...

Yep from what I've read about recent Bios releases at least for my Asus P5B Deluxe, it will support future Quad core and 45nm Intel processors, which is great for me since this board OC's very well! (see sys specs)

There's been rumors and speculations about these boards not being able to support them, and quad cores...but my P5B even says 45nm and Quad Core ready on the BOX! :D
