Actually as a torture-test I use; Oblivion, Supreme Commander and Crysis Beta. But otherwise 3D06.

I don't really know.. I usually play the Bioshock demo to show people what computers are capable of. :)
EDIT: 1280*1024 maxed out, no AA and AF though..

if your trying to generate max heat i find that my card gets hotter with the fuzzy cube in ati tool than it does in any game

i think it has to do with the fact that it runs at 600 ish fps so its rendering as fast as the card possibly can
^^^ A fuzzy box sure can create some heat. :p I think a smooth box makes more heat though.

Thats the point to find out if your card is good enough or test it how far you can push it frigging play games with it maybe put fraps on if the games you play do not support a FPS consol command..
Sorry but best thing to me is how well games are running not some benchmark program that mitates the real thing.

doesnt make my setup break a sweat.
Yes I would have to agree 3DM06 would be the most intense if you have dualcore or better and 3DM05 for single core...just wondering what you all thought.....and yes there are games that are right up there as well..Lostplanet and DiRT for example..thanks for the input fellow techs:toast:
And yes ATITOOLS heat generator really really does produce the heat:D

very good point ...I use Fraps built in game bencher and you can run that on any game for an even better life bench:toast:

Call of juarez dx10 benchmark stresses a card more than most of the tests in 3dm06

just tried the call of juarez bench, and it didn't even get my card up to 70 degrees. the fur bench thing pushes it to around 82, which is the point where my fan turns to 100 percent, so I think tig ets hotter than that
