give more details, was it working b4 just like it is now?

did you change anything or do any software to it?

what problems did you have just before this happened?

i see 2 hdd in your specs is this the only drive your using?

i see you have a customized xp install, how is it customized and are you running more than one OS?

you need to the bios and change the hdd prority so that the hard drive with windows is the first priority (excessively simplified)

hmmm interesting, and you have 2 plugged in? the one thats not the 250g one should be first priority, followed by the 250g one

Are the hard drives ide or sata?If they`re ide then change them all to "cable select"with jumpers or other master/slave combination that works.Did you set priority in bios as pancho suggested ?

its ide/ata
ok thx i wil look into it

i'm not 100% if this is correct but on the ide cable says first disk connection = slave and the last connection on the end of the cable is master so its 250gb , 60gb

check the jumpers on the drives, the 60g should be set to master, and the 250g should be slave, and make sure that the bios prorities also put the 60g ahead of the 250g and i dont think the cable matters but usually the one on the end of the wire is master and the the slave is the one on the middle.

its a bootloader thing. when the bios boots, it reads the bootloader of the first drive(master) and the bootloader will tell the bios where your windows installation is located. the bios will execute your windows and then the job of the bios is done. you bios must know clearly which bootloader to boot. if the bootloader on the 60g one is for only the 60g windows. and the 250g bootloader is only for the 250g windows, then you'll need to keep switching to the correct bootloader/ hdd so just make sure that all the oses are on the bootloader of one drive.
