View Full Version : ATi Tool 27b2 Crossfire

When I have two cards installed ATi Tool will not start. It will not even start if I turn off Crossfire in CCC. The only way I can get the HD2900PRO 1Gb or XT(Same) to run with ATi tool is to only have 1 card in my system.

Works OK with my XFire setup in Vista (I am using the X1950s though).

Does it give you any errors or have you checked the Event Log for possible info?

Yes it worked with 1k for me as well. I don't there is any errors to report other than it doesn't work. I'll check the event log later on, but I don't think it will tell any problems.

It might. Many times when a program simply fails to start without any on-screen errors, the event log shows anomolies.

Well only have a single card but this morning i started getting ATI Tool crash every single time so i deleted the .ini file and it was fine and just re-did the profiles.

Just a thought.

maybe you can try to uninstall ATITOOL by luanching the install and then choose uninstall and select to get rid of profiles on uninstall .Do this while you have the crossfire sett up and enabled .Then reinstall and test.

I did that....ATi tool only works with one of these cards installed.

Hmm ...thats odd...but then again i have yetto get my slave card to hold the clocks even the CCC doesnt clock the slave as high as the master...confirmed with monitor in atitool.

PS actually atitool will clock the slave and it holds till out of game or bench changes

try doing that again and before reinstalling run CCleaner on issues or regMechanic , then reinstall

I have tried many ways to get it to work. If I pulled one card then booted up it will work. Other wise it errors out before it starts up. My bet is that it isn't supported yet by Wiz.

HD cards doesn't work with Ati Tool in crossfire. Flash modified BIOS to get overclocked cards in crossfire.
