Try these things ...
try going to start, settings, control panel, administrative tools, services, click on web client twice and set it to manual . this seemed to fix my shutdown problem which started when I installed firefox 2.0.
and
using FF2.0? Try disabling any add-ons or extenstions, one at a time to see which one is cauing the error at shutdown. First one I'd disable is Talkback, located in Tools/add-ons.
If neither work google the error for more info.
