is there a program that lets me convert bitmap file to jpeg in mass?

I have thousands of bitmap images and I want it to convert it to jpeg all at once.... or atleast 40 at once.

i went to download.com and type in ACDSee and it came out all kind.... what kind is the one?

I would try the "Photo Manager 9 build 108".
Seems to be the latest free version.
I am not sure as I have not used it.

I think Paint Shop Pro does mass converts also, if you have that laying around.

Was going to suggest ReaJPEG or ReaConverter, but Sasqui has most of them covered in his link,quite alot to choose from.

Aahh, Just Couldn't agree more here, Irfanview is the best, lightweit & most of all freeware available today. It has many features build in including the one you're looking for - batch conversion. Which can not only convert the format but it also process many other very usfull functions at the same time. Say you're converting file format for 100 files, at the same time you could resize them too & many more things. Good Luck Buddy.
