DOOM movie

GamerFeed (http://general.gamerfeed.com/gf/news/7478/) has posted an interview with id software's Todd Hollenshead about the upcoming Doom movie.

I want to see the movie be true to what the legacy of the DOOM games mean to fans. Scary, intense, lots of action, and consistent with what we've done in the games. However, movies and games are different media, so some things will and should be different. I'm not looking for "DOOM 3: The Movie" and that's not what it will be. The script is not based on the DOOM 3 story, but is based on the DOOM universe, so fans will see plenty in the movie that they will recognize from the game.

Pardon me if this comparison sounds off or unfair, I watched the newly bought DVD - House of the Dead the other night and boy ... it was so bad. So ... lame.

I have never watched any Tomb Raider movies but I just doubt that they'd be interesting at all.

Doom movie? ... I don't know, if they show the movie in real-time 3D, then I guess it COULD then be interesting. :-)

i have a feeling doom is gonna be alot better than that thought.
they'll find a good crew, if they havent already.

It will most likely be about something that has nothing to do with the game, just use dooms marketting

Well, itll have slow moving zombies though, and ppl will run away from them and still get caught, even though they move 50× as fast than the zombies, it will be a thrilling movie, truly fantastic...

The graphics engine in doom 3 will have already produced better special effects than in movie.

Anyone else remember how bad the "Wing Commander" movie was? LOL... great game and a really crap movie.

wing commander was the ONLY movie i ever rented from the video rental, which i stopped while watching and never finished it
