I need to prchase a motherboard. I would like to stay within the $200.00 range.
I would also like it to have WiFi built in. The CPU will be an Intel Core 2 Duo E6750 socket 775. Also the Cpu cooler will be an Arctic cooling freezer 7 pro, I know heat pipes can sometimes get in the way of these. I want the P35 chipset. Ive been thinking about the Asus P5K-E but have seen some bad reviews on them in newegg. Here are some other components that will go with this motherboard.

DVD Drive 1- Samsung S203 S-ATA with lightscribe
DVD Drive 2- LG H62L S-ATA with lightscribe
OS- WIndowsXP Home SP2 32bit
Ok, so I hope that gives a good idea of what I need in a motherboard. Also I might do minor overclocking once I feel comfortable with it.

any gigabyte p35 board :toast:
or for asus, get the p5k deluxe or premium (for all you asus fanboys)
though i recommend the gigabytes a lot more.

Gigabyte = Stay away (I've heard too many bad things about Gigabyte from my friends)
Asus = Top notch!
I guess I'm an asus fanboy! :)

I don't remember what boards my friends have had, but they lasted less than six months.

Why does it need to have onboard WiFi? (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16833180020)

damn, 7 replies already. Thanks. I have a USB WiFi right now and just dont like it, I would rather have something built in or if not that then a card.

Something like this maybe? (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16833180043)
I dunno, I'm just tryna help out. If you get that then you could pretty much get any motherboard of your choosing.
Are you planning on going xfire? A DFI ICFX3200 is pretty nice! Link. (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813136032)

Yeah, that would be ok, but still would rather have on board WiFi

I appreciate your comments.im just wanting to know what motherboard people prefer, I like the asus a lot, has good features and not to be real picky but I like the color of the P5K-E.

gigabyte p35 are some of the best out there. the p35 gigabytes actually clock better then asus p35's and the gigabytes are quality for all models, whereas cheaper asus p35's suffer from bad ocing, terrible vdroop, etc.
i would recommend a pci xpress x1(what else are you gonna use the x1 slots for? lol) wireless lan card, my friend got for like 5 bucks with rebate off of newegg, does like 108 megs too, newegg doesn't sell em anymore though..

does anybody have an Asus P5K Premium or Delux with the Arctic Cooling Freezer 7 Pro installed on it? and if so did it fit without hitting any heatpipes?
