I noticed. Slow transfer rates, and server 6 won't except anymore downloads.

Quite ironic that the main page is working better for me than it normally has been recently :rolleyes:

Images can sometimes be a bit reluctant to load.

Anyway, I found a torrent so I'm using that instead of killing the TPU servers - getting 50kB/s to 100kB/s download speeds, so it's not too bad - my ISP throttles BitTorrent anyway, so it'll do.

well i preloaded it last night. i played the dethmatch and im not that impressed, you cant even turn the gfx up high enough to make my system start lagging

omg it's awsome, and it runs great, i'm getting about 60fps in it with sli 7900's and my single core, quick question though, do you think i'll notice much of a performance increase when i move to my 4600 x2 am2 rig, i'm getting an am2 4600 that does 3.0(i'm buying it from foxcon), and 2gigs of corsair 555,15 that does 1066Mhz, and an evga board, to pair with my 2 evga 7900's that do 650/900?? what do you think the performance will be when i move up?

Are you running it with all the settings maxed out? If you're already getting 60fps, I really don't think you'd see any improvement, although the system would obviously be running faster. Usually the human eye can only notice the differences in framerates from 30fps and lower.

I'm currently running it maxed out with my rig to the left, not a smidgen of lag - and I was expecting to have to fork out for a new gfx card to play it XD

Im just wondering if the 2900xt's built in physics processing could pass for enebling the hardware physics tick box in the option. As its not greyed out.

Running it at 1920x1200, was a bit jittery till i realised I was still running 2D mode clocks hahaha. :)

Im running it 1920x1200, maxed out with intense post render thing on.

using the command STAT FPS im measuring the fps rate, and I can tell you with my dual core @ 2.9GHz and my 1GB 2900xt im pulling High 50's to 60 FPS F*** YEAH!!! :rockout::rockout:

still a big shame it dont support AA, even at that high a rez i can still sometimes see jaggies :(

yeah have done, slapped 16xAF and 24X AA and im still getting above 45FPS, still peaks into hi 50's/60

hits 62 and stays around that while im by myself and running around, soon as others come into view etc it drops to 50ish/45 lowest. pretty damn good imo

that tentacle tank thingy is awsome, love how it can crawl over most obsticles. wonder if there is a zoom out ill need to check coz id like to take a screen of it in action :)

ok, i've just ran it again with that "stat fps" command

e6600 @ 3GHz (333x9)
7900GTX stock

1280x1024, all in-game settings set to maximum, 7 bots on the first deathmatch level, my min fps is 35, max is 50, average 40!

I enabled hardware physics in the options, and I didnt get any performance hit at all... hmm? Is it disabled, that option for anyone else with a diff gfx card?

i love the way everyone is slagging the graphics off the unreal 3 engine - you proper noobs. why dont you research before you make gay a** comments?

the demo has low texture res on ONLY. this is to save on dl space. obviously the fulll game will have the rest of the textures.

I didn't have a gamespy account. I guess that is what the problem is. Seems to be some awful lag in these servers.

i didnt use any account, i just made one from scratch using Mandelore as my login, it worked fine. dont think its tied to any gamespy account??

Did you notice that if you play team DM that another guy can join you on the thing and fire from a lower turret? :rockout:

I have this runnin on a machine with a 2600xt so smooth and just mint on max settings 1280x1024 looks great, fun game too for mindless fast paced fps.

I put the physx on last night and did not see any kind of difference, in gameplay or framerate. I don't think it's supported.

I wasn't too impressed with the visuals so far... they aren't terrible but...they didn't seem 'wowzer.'


I also didn't notice a difference visually between dx9 and dx10. Does this mean it needs a dx10 patch, or that the game will forever only use dx10 as a way to optimize render performance only?

Yeah, I figured that out pretty quick. When I am sitting at 62fps and not going up or down, i know that something is up.

tigger the 1gb 2900 results for 1920x1200 are incorrect... i have a 2.9ghz processor and even on a mild 2900 overclock i dont get lower that around 45-50FPS min for the 1920x1200 with eye candy on
