One of the first things you think on when you choose a motherboard is the used chipset. These days the market is mainly ruled by NVIDIAs NFORCE4 MCP and some VIA chipsets but that`s all you have to choose from.Recently ATI has launched it`s XPress 200 but it`s still very hard to find a board based on it.[---]

And here comes the ULi M1695 which supports both PCE-E and AGP.This time we are dealing with a Real AGP not just a few PCIs tied together.Ofcource the board supports AMD socket 939 based CPUs and a full set of overclocking tools. The performance is not compromised in any way.Uli M1695 even beats NF4 in some tests , whlie they are equal each other.

AnandTech says :
ULi did a great job with their new PCIe/AGP chipset. If you are in the market for a new Socket 939 board, then boards based on the ULi M1695/M1567 should definitely be on your shopping list. If you by chance plan to use AGP on your new PCIe board, then ULi M1695/M1567 is the only board that you should have on your shopping list. This AGP on PCIe really works, there are no compromises, and you will not be disappointed.

Definately this is the next main competitor in the market.I`m sure it will be very successful because of it`s great performace and overclocking abilities.Probably I`ll get one too.
