argh, i got my cpu today. but no motherboard,ram,or vid card. those will be bought in the coming weeks.

i keep looking at my credit card and thinking about it. but i just paid the darn thing off. i dont want to max it out again. only have 2k limit, but the last 2k i charged cost me like 3.5 after intrest.

ahhhhh, i cant wait. i've never even used a pc that took the "new" pinless cpu's. i hope it is noticably faster than my current rig.

A dead e6750 would likely piss me off a bit. Although I guess a CPU box without a CPU inside, or with the iprint of a baseball bat left in it would likely cause me to miss a few heart beats, after spending my money on the thing.

I like buying with the credit card(s) when their is no interest. I just bought a LCD/HDTV from Circuit City that has no interest for 18 months. I just got a CC app. in the mail today for 9.99% and no interest for 12 months. I might just apply for it and use it to build a new AMD Quad rig. 12 month of no interest towards a new rig would be sweet. :cool:

i was just kidding about 2k costing 3.5k after intrest. but it sure fealt like it paying the cc bill.

my original plan was buy a piece a week of my new rig, with no part except the gpu costing more than 300.

i should be able to put a pretty nice set up together for that.

keep a lookout my current rig will be for sale once the new one is finished. this one is not blazing fast for the times but it is a good machine. it will make someone happy.

i like it because it remind me the different architectures between the phenom and yorkefield
meaning that the phenom(rotor) is 2 times faster in less engine displacement than yorkefield

LOL, be prepared to be shocked m8 ;) TBH, Ive owned a skt478 3.2GHz Pentium 4 Prescott and those things are shite.....you will love the skt775 CPU :)

Also, it has less torque than a 4 stroke piston engine of similar displacement. And they're brittle. I hate rotaries. lol. Love RX-7s tho. If I got one, the first thing I'd do is rip out the rotary, and slap in an LS1 or 302.

An engine needs torque, and rotaries don't make torque. They are nothing but oil burning, petrol guzzling horsepower pumps.
Believe me, a mate and I put a 12A and a 253ci V8 through a lot of 'tests' and the 253 was still going strong when it was tossed for a 350 Chevy. The 12A had an enormous crack right down one side of a rotor housing, the remaining rotor and housing is now a mantle piece clock.

yeap it still remind me the phenom it is a lot lower on clocks but perfome 2 times more operations,and in a fun run it looks like 2x times more hz :p

or a 2l 3 rotor which is really huge
