I posted this earlier and it went away? weird!
So is there some way to tell on a fsb rated chip, like 8650 fsb 1333 which memory will run that fast? seems like alll the memory ddr2, is much slower?
lost please help?

no different issue entirely, the above post is a condensed cry for help from the lost post, so in what way do speeds relate to fsb? help me please!

ok, now we are getting some ampount of info clearity, but there is a debate about the sli680 mobo and the p5k, seems p5k goes higher, buthte chips I want ocz EB ddr26800 really work best in a sli chiopset comments on either issue?

looks as if you are asking about an intel buss relation, which is sorta different from amd...

that being said the bus on an intel is whats called quad pumped or 1333FSB. So in actuallity the FSB is actually divided by 4 to gives you an actual bus speed of 333MHz in say CPU-z. Depending on the dividers because of the controller being different between intel and amd, if memory is linked it is the running the RAM at 667 MHZ.

The real difference is that on intel the RAM is no longer controlled by the CPU, it controlled in northbridge on an Intel CPU.

Sorta confusing to read but it is the general jist of how it works.

still kinda fussy on oc'ing the 6850, some say p5k others the sli... thoughts?
