well, someone screwed up big time, so we all had to take a remedial course in physics. the idea was that when we hand in our maintenance reports, they would include step-by-step calculations as to how we came about our calibrations. I waited till the last minute, as I have MS home 2007, and I had heard it would do calcs for you. wow. it does type equations, but it doesn't provide crap for answering them. stupid microshaft. now I'm on extra duties for the next three months, and I'm supposed to be the person in charge of my entire damn team.

Sound like user error rather than MS screwup. Thats why you never wait till the last minute.

Yeah, I don't see how Microsoft is at fault here. You should have validated the rumor before you waited so long.

yes, I should have, but why not just put in a damn calculator? seems like five minutes of coding to me.

Excel can solve some equations, but not word. You have to program it too, it's not just enter data, click, done.

It's not microsoft's fault. It's yours.
1: NEVER do anything at the last minute
2: Use Start>Programs>Accessories>Calculator for calculating
3: LOL at extra duties

oh well, as long as I plan my shifts right, I can arrange to have someone do my duties while our boatswain isn't around
