Why Socket A sir?
Because I just had a Socket A motherboard bite the dust and want to replace it instead of junking the whole system. Though I am thinking I might just throw all the parts in another system that is still working just to test them, and then sell them if I don't get any offers here.

If you are thinking of using the parts may be you can try my 754 stuff that I have for sale and sell ur cpu alone to someone here who was looking for one. I can even sell my A64 3200 if you want. (BTW Biostar mobo is gone)

Thanks, but that has a SIS/VIA chipset on it, which I'm not a fan of.
I think I am just going to part the machine out, after some searchs on ebay it looks like NForce2 motherboards go in the $80+ range. I can probably sell all the parts and make enough to put together a cheap AM2 rig.

Ygpm!
EDIT: Another look tells me it may be worth it just to pickup a 939 cpu/mobo for it and use all exisiting parts out of it.

You both are missing the key factor here: He wants a board with the NForce 2 Chipset, not VIA/SIS. :p

Don't really know if this is dual channel or if it still works.

Glitched - Again, he doesn't want SiS/VIA chipset boards.
Tekie, you will have no luck finding an NF2 for $50. The cheapest, I mean cheapest used NF2 board I've seen for sale over here was listed for $112AUD.
What is so wrong with the VIA 600? My one is doing great atm. I can also overclock this quite a bit (currently running a 1813mhz Sempron @ 2090mhz with no significant temp gain, voltage increase and is at 190FSB of a max of 250). All for $75 AUD brand new. It's got ram slots (3GB max) unsure if it is dual channel, am yet to check, max of 400FSB, standard bios has all voltage controls for CPU, DIMM & AGP. Oh and Sata enabled.

Ya there is really nothing wronge with VIA and SIS. Actuly I would say the KT600 is better than nforce 2 its about the range of nforce 3 imo. I have never had a problem with VIA and the fact that they run cool.
