had to take the kitten to the vets yesterday to get neutered. what a shock i got when the bill came up to £72.06, just to stop my kitten from having more!! christ the cat was only in there for 15 mins!! cant wait till the bill for her final inoculations come through!!

lol, the cost is about the same here in the US. our cat got the spade and it cost abotu 150 bucks. she gets a checkup with a rabbis shot every year and that costs close to 100. what i want to know is why do we need to get an indoor cat a checkup and a rabbis shot every year? my wife insists.

I grew up on a farm, so we usually just shot the animals. Especially rabbits, rats and such things.. Dogs and cats are a bit different, but smaller animals I'd kill instead of heal.

But then, I'm used to handle cows, so I don't really see the point in those smaller animals (except dogs).

Jeeze, yall pay a ton. I paid $50 to get my cat spayed, and $25 each to get the other 3 neutered.

Rabies at $10 each. Makes me glad that I live in the country.

SPCA in our area - about $30/$35 for a spay/neuter.

Some places it's offered for free.

I was thinking of getting a kitten. But now that I've seen the bills, it kinda shunned me away from doing so :cry:

I never get anything neutered, because they are sooo different after you do that.

Yea I know what you mean, I've had a cat when I was younger. It's like they know that you arranged for their love tool to get snipped, poor little guys :nutkick:

Yeah, they are better. They don't spray, they don't roam, they don't fight, and they don't produce ferral's.

I got my Rottwieler neutered, mainly because I didn't want 130lbs of dog attempting to hump my leg :eek:

You could always do it like they do pigs if you are worried about the cost, just stuff their head in a boot and hack. Terrible way to do it, poor pigs.

Your taking all the fun out of their life!!!!

I mean it's an animal what else do they have to look forward to the most besides, fighting, spraying, and making babies?

Animals=outdoors with me.

I won't let my wife neuter our cat squirt. I have beat the shit out of that cat trying to prevent him from shitting and pissing on my hardwood floors, and he is getting better. But I would rather have him run away or be a mean bastard than a confused kitty for the rest of his possibly short life.
