Heatware: http://heatware.com/eval.php?id=61027
Well, I have a load of old stuff that I'm selling. I'm putting them up bit by bit, since I need to look for packaging. Only the 6200 has packaging at the moment, so I'm looking for that. All prices exclude shipping, I'll give you a quote on that if you are interested. Everything works at last test unless I say so. Some stuff has not been used for ages, so I'll say condition unknown on that stuff. Sorry fo rthe blur on the photos. Prices are negotiable, and I can only ship to UK, because it'll add to much onto the price if I go anywhere else. More will come later, when I find packaging for them. Payment must be done by check or cash, my dad won't let me use his PayPal :shadedshu

I could never get this to work in my system. It read the card, it just never let me access it on my system. Hopefully you'll have better luck. £10
I'm open for trades as well. If you have an offer, post it here, I'm always open to trades.

Kursah pointed out the GPU was touching the carpet, so I tested it again to make sure it works, and it does. I'll update the pics so there's no worry.

You might want to add if the ram is dual channel or not.

You might want to add if the ram is dual channel or not.
I believe the RAM has nothing to do with the Dual Channel feature other than be a matched set, but the MB itself must have support for Dual Channel to work, and the user must know what channels the memory must be installed in to in-fact run in Dual-Channel mode? At least that's what I've always read and been told, I've seen people selling memory that states Dual Channel ready...so that's pretty much a matched stick set, nothing special iirc. :D

I was simply asking if the ram could run in dual channel mode or not. For the ram to run in dual channel the SPD's have to be the same, the pcbs need to have the same layout, and the motherboard has to support it. Seeing how the sticks looked the same yet had different markings on the chips I was asking.
Kursah
10-21-2007, 07:06 PM
Good catch on the different chips, I did a quick scroll over 'em, so I didn't notice that right away! I had to set my dad's rig up to run dual channel with different sticks with different SPD's, one was CL3 DDR400 one was CL2.5 DDR400, set their timings manually in MB Bios, it worked like a charm, but there wasn't a huge difference between them either. Still does work just fine to this day! But like you said, it's best to have matching sticks, SPD, chips, ratings, brand, all of that.

AFAIK, DDR1 doesn't support Dual Channel mode.
KennyT772
10-21-2007, 07:15 PM
Are you kidding me? The transition from AMD socket 754 to 939 was two reasons, HT bus speed and Dual Channel. Any Intel chipset past 865 also had dual channel.
Ben Clarke
10-21-2007, 07:16 PM
Well in that case, I'm not sure. These were used on a quite old 775 board, I doubt a board that old supported dual-channel. So, possibly.
KennyT772
10-21-2007, 07:23 PM
All 775 boards support dual channel as far as I know. Find a ddr1 motherboard and test them, dual channel makes a huge performance benefit.
Ben Clarke
10-21-2007, 07:24 PM
Even the ones from the 533MHz FSB era? If so, dual-channel is probably supported, I don't remember there being an option in BIOS, so it must have been automatic... the board only had 2 RAM slots, dammit.

LGA775 socket came out way after the old i865 chipsets, so the chipset on the LGA775 board should have been something like an older 8x5 or a VIA chipset, to be supporting DDR1.
They will run in dual-channel mode, I did the same as Kursah for my dad's rig, set the timings to the same settings in my dad's PC, and it's working right now in dual-channel mode, never gave me trouble.
Those sticks seem to have been made by the same company, so should eb similar specced DIMMs, should handle DC mode just fine.
Ben Clarke
10-21-2007, 07:27 PM
Well in that case, yes, Dual Channel is supported. They have the same timings, IIRC, so they should work. Not sure what they are though, the rig is out of comission now, the HDD is in this system.
Kursah
10-21-2007, 07:31 PM
Kenny's right.
My dad's board was a socket 478 that supported Dual Channel, Abit ICH-7 or something like that, it had the 865P chipset. My old rig and my G/F's current rig with 775, 865PE, Abit AS8-V supported Dual Channel also. Both DDR1. :toast:

Not all.
Dual channel support started from socA.

The extra pins found on 939 are due to the dual channel controller, therefore 939 was the first dual channel AMD socket.

That is incorrect. Socket A was the first introduction of dual channel memory.
Also, not all 775 boards support dual channel, the one in my sys specs does not.
Also Ben, free bump for an awesome seller!:toast:

Lol, I did actually think DC was only supported by DDR2. Now I know better :)

I do not remember if Socket A had an integrated memory controller or not. I was thinking it did, but I am wrong.
Socket 775 as with any intel socket, can be adapted to use any memory, as long as the chipset supports it. If there was a chipset for it socket 478 could support ddr2, oh wait there is. Dual channel chipsets first came with the intel 865 series.

I can take the TIM off, or you can, as I don't have the equipment right now.
You don't have any sort of plastic card (Debit card, credit card, discount card) and high % isopropyl alcohol? (Try 92% or higher). You don't need Articlean or any of that crap, its a gimmick. I picked up a big bottle of 97% isopropyl alcohol for like $2.99 at my local drugstore...I wouldn't even bother listing the CPU/HSF if it isn't cleaned.
Ben Clarke
11-15-2007, 06:43 PM
No, I don't. No cards available, and nowhere in my county has the alcohol stuff you speak of.

Nope. That stuff can only be sold in hardware stores and to people over 21.
The only stuff under 21's can buy is full of additives and less than 50%

Dude... I cleaned a S478 P4 3GHz off with 50% isopropyl alcohol... and the HSF... and have heard NO complaints from the person I sold it to.

Woah Mama!
11-17-2007, 11:59 PM
lmao! No wonder there are so many teenagers in Australia getting high off Metho, we can buy full strength and any age basically.
Free bump for you then mate, can you pm me the soundcard picture? Is not showing up for me for some reason. If you are pretty sure it is a Audigy 2 I most likely will buy it if you can ship to Australia for a decent amount. Cheers.

I think that sound card is a Creative SB Live! 24-bit. Looks a lot like my old sound card. Food for though I guess.
All of my DDR1 systems were dual channel just FYI. (Duron, AXP, A64, Opty)
Ben Clarke
11-18-2007, 09:46 PM
OK, thanks, now I know they are DC compatible.
Also, I think it's an Audigy, since I used those drivers. However, the site I bought it from lists it as SB Value 7.1 Chennel card.
