Since everywhere I go has slow download speeds (50kbps), I decided to use one of my webservers as a file host. Post what software you'd like to see here. So far, I got 3DMark06 uploading. What else do you want?

EDIT: Seems as if every server has this problem. But fear not. As soon as my comic takes off, I can do what everyone else does and make crappy merchandise, and buy a server with a 100Mbit connection. That'll teach all those crappy servers.

Really? I never have that problem, I rarely see less than 200Kbps.

Yeah, I always get 50kbps unless I download from NVIDIA. Everywhere else gets the 50kbps bug, even TPU.

slightly offtopic: try getting a different isp. or install getright which lets you use multiple connections

what kind of connection speed and bandwidth limit you got on your server?

I'm testing them now. On one, I got 3GB bandwidth limit, another is 5GB Bandwidth limit, and the other one has loads of space and I think 2TB limit. I'm testing speeds now.

One server gets 120kbps Download on my connection (loads of webspace) (this is while the downstairs system is running online poker, BTW)
Second server gets 100kbps, but only has 1GB webspace, and I'm not bothering with the 3rd since it only has 300MB space.

And yeah, I'm trying to get my dad to switch to a new ISP, since we started paying for 8Mbps, we've only being getting 512kbps, even though our line supports 8Meg...

Have you talked with your ISP? Maybe they have some problems with something..

Yeah, we talked to them... they say it's our line. I'm getting my dad to switch to Tiscali Business broadband for Christmas. Hopefully then we won't get crappy speeds. But if it is our line, why does NVIDIA site work fine, all others go slow?

That was what I was thinking.. I'd blame the ISP.
I'm quite lucky though. I pay for 2mbit but it's not unusual that I download at 3. :)

Hmm... yeah, paying for 8meg, getting 1meg speeds. But NVIDIA downloads at 2Meg speed, everywhere else 512kb speeds.

Tested server with high bandwidth and diskspace, download at 150kbps. This is the server I'll use, uploading some stuff now.
