well i was trying to fix another issue i went to steams support and i was tolds to enter -sw into the launch options thing. well now my game won't even lauch...:banghead: it gets to the intro movie and then it just stops and closes... if anyone could help me i wel be VERY HAPPY:D

Did you remove the -sw modification/

Also, try adding -dev into the shortcut as is one way to bypass the intro .bik video.

It will probably dump you straight to desktop.

Was there any application error, about hex memory?

try this
-novid -console -heapsize 512000
if that dosnt work run antivirus/antispyware, turn off antivirus/firewall, defrag you harddrive, update you drivers, quit programs you dont need running
