I might have wiped some xp coolant in my eye the other day because my eye lid is swollen. It's almost covering half of my eye at this very moment. It also is starting to sting a little.
Has anyone ever get a little bit of coolant in their eye? I'm putting antibiotic(Zymar) drops in my eye today to see if it helps.

Have you been to the doctors to make sure it's not something serious? My eye is swolen too, my dog trod on it.

You have to pay to see the doctor??? Maybe the UK isn't so bad after all...

Yes anything medical you have to pay for in the US. You can go to the emergency room if you are in dire need, and they have to take you. But you will be billed for it and it's always 200 starting out, and if it is serious can bankrupt you.

Do some visine allergy drops man(the one with the green on the box). They will sting and make your eye water but thats just the stuff working.
After you do that, give it about 4-5 hours and you should be good as new! ;)

It's not that good, the main reason I like it is untouched nature and good healtcare. Healtcare is actually top-notch, even in global standards.
There's tons of bad things to say about Sweden to, but I still rather live here than in the US (at least permanently). I like US though (I've been in Trenton, MI) and I think americans in general are very friendly, but still.. Healthcare is important, and I'd probably never afford it there.

More than likely you are having some sort of strong immune reaction to whatever was put in your eye. My guess (I'm a pharmacist) is that the antiobiotics will be of no use. They are left over from some other infection, no? I imagine you'll need some other sort of medication for your eyes, one that an optometrist or physician can prescribe. Go see your doctor. Your eyes are worth it.

When we (meaning, my family) had our car accident (Dodge Grand Caravan vs. Honda Odyssey, they ran a stop sign, cutting us off, and we smacked them into someone's yard. Our car was totaled, theirs needed some serious bodywork on the side), it cost my mom $900 for the ambulance-ride to the emergency room :(.
I'm pretty sure our auto/health insurance covered a lot of that though. Our auto insurance took care of everything, got us a settlement and paid for housecleaning services while my mom was in recovery. But they completely and totally scuzzed us on payment for the totaled car...
So yes, Canadians and citizens of the UK, be glad that your healthcare is free.

Probably the glycol caused the death of the little mites that keep your eyelid and lashes clean, and thus your pores plugged up and caused a sty. Nasty bastard things.

Tasty. Keep your eyes clean, and wash them with hot washcloths to open the pores back up.

If you want to see a healthcare nightmare. Vote for the socialists... I mean Democrats. You won't pay as much when you go, if you can get an appointment. You'll pay for the visit, along with other peoples healthcare, at the end of the year in the form of extremely high taxes.

they didnt pay you for the totaled car? you should have a lawyer then. insurance companies are notorious for underpaying the people they provide coverage for. a lawyer will get you even more money than the car was worth. i have good insurance with my job and good car insurance. my wife wrecked her car last year and only had to pay 500 bucks to get it completely repaired. if i go to the hospital for an emergency i pay 10 dollars. if im sick and schedule to see a doctor i pay 10 dollars. medical insurance also pays for most of presciptions. living in the US is better if you have a job with benefits. living in canada or the UK is better if you dont want to work or your job doesnt give you benefits. of course most of it cause and effect. medical coverage is getting a lot more expensive in the US because our federal govt keeps screwing with the system and empowering HMOs who in turn raise your premium.
