VAPOLI V2000 Phase Change Unit

I just bought this off another member here on another site about 7 months ago.... I never got around to setting it up until recently. I have personally ran for about 6 hours with no troubles. I was able to get my e6600 to 4.3GHZ and still under -35c

This is the V2000 with the LED display and the hideaway CDROM cover

I am asking 800 + shipping OBO

I ran my e6600 to 4.3ghz @ 1.7v and the thing never dropped below -35c...... I wouldve put more to it, but that was the highest the MB I had at the time would go.....

The Vapochill systems are a great system without a doubt.... I do not have any personal experiance with them, so I cant tell you which is better.... but from my understanding, this setup does cool lower than the vapochill..

Also, another nice thing about is that it is all in one piece..... no need to buy another case, cut holes, mount anything..... just put it in and go. Plus you get the sweet Lian-Li case too.

I never actually looked up what a phase cooler was cause I have absolutely no need of one any time in the near or distant future . . . it's a mini A/C system! R-134a, at that! I guess if I ever bought one and needed refrigerant, I could just hook it up to my car's A/C and even out the charge!

Hell, with my auto skillz and background, I could probably make some sort of "phase cooler" for myself!

Thanks for such close pics, man! I guess I'm still learning something new everday!

d44ve
10-23-2007, 03:39 PM
in theory they are simple... I was just going to make one, but by the time you factor in the parts for the phase change, the case and then time to build the whole thing..... its not even worth it.

First of all... please go shit in someone else's thread. Mine isn't to do it in.

Second of all, that setup that you have listed is a joke. Do you even understand what it would take it make it work, or did you look at the parts listed?

How about mounting it, let alone two... what about the TWO 24v PSU's you will need.... I could go on, but at this point I am a bit pissed that you thought you can come into MY thread and shit in it with a bunch of nonsense, especially nonsense that you have no clue about.

Please, from here on out... please do not post in my threads unless you have something constructive to say. And what I mean by that is something you have PERSONAL experiance with and not something you heard someone else say. The last time I checked, you were still on air cooling.... so honestly, what constuctive & personal advice could you add to this thread?

ebay?

I would... but I dont think anyone buying on ebay would really know what this is. Plus I no longer can sell on ebay because I refuse to have a paypal account. Sooooooo, even if I want to, I couldnt sell it on there.

I would have to have someone else sell it for me ;)

C'mon you extreme TPU overclockers. You know you're gonna want to take your Yorkfield to 5Ghz in a couple of weeks, and this is the thing can help you get there. You can be the founding member of the TPU 5Ghz club and hold the top spot in most of the benchies (and you would for a Looooooong time, I'd forsee). :rockout:

And friendly bump;)

Question. Is this thing good for every day use. I viewed the thread a long while back and did a search on their website and got totally confused.

It's a refrigeration unit, correct? I am (Seriously) interested, if you could list the pro's and cons of it I may be able to work out a deal, if it's actually for daily use, not just extreme overclocking.

The case is nice, and I was considering some cooling anyway so for an extra few hundred bucks, hell the thing would be worth it for bragging rights if nothing else.

Yeah, this is a refrigeration unit.... Personally, I would use it for daily use, but I would not leave it on 24\7. I wouldn't leave it unattended for a long period of time (ie 2+ hours), although if you have sufficient insulation and take proper precautions, there shouldn't be any reason why you would need to worry about this anymore than a water cooled computer. (I wouldnt run a watercooled system 24\7 either)

Another reason I would not run this 24/7 is because of the increase electricity costs.

And yes, this thing is great for bragging rights! :p

You are more than welcome to PM me or post here if you have any more questions.

Also, a great site for information is : http://www.xtremesystems.org/
This type of cooling is there forte'. The builder of this system is on there too (Jinu117)

Anyhow, like I said before... please feel free to ask any questions that you may have, I will answer the the best I can, honestly and non bias. You can ask just about anyone here... they will tell you that I wont feed you a line of BS just to get a sale. I want you to be happy with it and not disappointed after you buy it.

Ok, question. You want cash of course, but my resources require selling something. Assuming I review this stuff and become entranced with the power, based on other posters inquiries, you're wanting at least $700 cold hard cash correct?

Would you consider any swaps, I've a system almost like mine with windows vista 32 bit or 64 with original disc and info I could include for trade if you have a need. Move this into pm's if so or just post regarding cash price if not interested in trades.

Thanks sir.

(and cdawell, you are alright in my book.... I am just not sure why you would want to come into MY thread with that BS)

LOL. RAGE!
