I'm trying to install a GeForce 7900 GS (AGP) in to my rig to do away with the FX 5500 (PCI)curently in use. I've installed the card, went to the XFX sight and loaded the curent drivers. Then restarted the comp to go into bios to reconfigure vid card boot up priority. But now my bios splash page does not come up. Going to device manager it saids every thing is fine. but can not get the it to work wile it still is set to run the old card. Any ideas on how to get into bios when it won't show the bios screen??????? :banghead:

Restart your computer while jamming constantly on the delete button should work.

Put the old card back in I suppose. Then try the bios. It sounds like you didn't uninstall your old drivers.

I'm still on the old card. It's the only thing that will work. No I didn't unistall the old drivers. A little late, but should I unistall them now? Or the drivers from the new card?

Uninstall your old drivers and reboot. You should be able to get into your bios, then switch it back to agp, shut down, swap cards, then see if it will work. Make sure you have drivers for both cards on hand.

It is probably a video init problem. Check to see if you have it set to AGP.

That did the trick. The new card is up and running!:rockout::respect::rockout:
