Without fan i seen my CPU @ 48c max while gaming in a room of 85f.

But i keep them on becouse it looks nice.

I have a gemini on my fiance's X2 S939, I was worried and believe me it was the tightest squeeze ever in her mATX Compaq case, it literally fit perfectly against the PSU and rear panel of the case there's maybe a millimeter to spare, but that also meant I couldn't get the fans on it as they are actually about 33% longer than the cooler and the hard drive and mounting at the front of the case was in the way
I ended up just propping one 120 in the middle of the case (mind you, that's the ONLY fan in the case, it's completely silent) that blows front to back over the gemini
temps are reasonable with just that one fan and the comp is in an armoire that doesn't get airflow
