Im running an NVidia 8600GTS under x64 Windows XP using ATItool .26.
The [interesting] behavior I am encountering is ATITool not being able to take the clock speeds anywhere above 750mhz core without causing artifacts *unless* the nTune service has been started. With the nTune service running in the background and using ATITool to manage the clock speeds it goes north of 850mhz without going over 49c under load. Zero artifacting. It seems in order to properly tune Nvidia cards on x64 XP the nTune service needs to be running in the background??
Just an observation of mine. [sorry if this is a known issue, I didn't troll through the forums looking]
