Vlite'd Vista... STILL 3.7gb...

Is the base OS seriously that fat, or are they missing a lot of things here...
I stripped it pretty bare and the iso is still 3.7gb....

Am I missing something?

i know the non-retail versions contain all copies of vista (home/ultimate etc) so those files may still be leftover and just not used on a retail disk.

it'd help if we knew how big it was to start with and what you changed.

It's an OEM disk and 3.7gb to start with....
Sorry the cut down disk was 3.6gb....

Ok I think I messed up here... I wasn't rebuilding it completely I was just modifying my current.

Yes indeed fixed... My new Vista Ultimate 64bit disk is 946mb.
Much better, no bs anymore... YAY

Will do, should basically just make the install quicker and smaller, and then initial setup a lot easier and quicker...

Doubt it.... But its a beta anyways missing lots of stuff yet too, they are fixing and adding things yet...

I would say use Nlite for xp...

Google it its likes vlite.com or something.
