:(Man, I am so pissed. I can seem to get ATIFlash to work while I Boot from dos. I have tried everything and have read everything and I can't manage to flash my HD2900 's BIOS. Please help me, I am tired of googleing. This is what I have been doing, I open up the DOS ISO file and then add all of atilfash's utilitys and a few BIOSs'. I boot fromt he CD and I get in to dos but whenever I type atiflash -p 0(zero) -newbios 12v.rom -f to flash it I just get command or file not valid. I have tryed sverel way of wording that nothing works, I'm a real noob when it comes to flashing so anyone who can help would be great.:)

i think u should type "atiflash -f -p 0 biosname.rom" without the "..im already flash both my hd2900xt to change to higher clock to 880 core 950 mem...and its work...unfortunately its not stable..so i flash to original bios back :(

try using ati winflash instead, flashing form windows is a lot easier.

I' not sure how to use that either, trying atiflash -f -p 0 12v.rom right now, will report back soon.

Flashing BIOSes in Windows is nutoriously risky. I wouldn't reccomend this.

Didnt I read somewhere that Dolf made a simplified BIOS flash utility for this specific card?
I'd search the forums, hell it may even be in the thread Namslas posted not sure and didnt read the whole thread he linked!
yup was in the last post of that exact thread...try this...http://forums.techpowerup.com/showthread.php?t=43702&highlight=2900pro

Hi, what's the meaning of the "-f -p 0" parameters?
Thx, bye

Well I can give you 2 out of 3 on that question.
-f is forcing the flash
0(zero) is the device ID if there were 2 cards in place to flash card #2 it yould need a 1 in place of the 0
As far as the -p goes , its been too long since I flashed my X850XT to PE to remember, but I bet some screenshots of Atiflash from google may explain its use!

So with the same parameter i can flash my hd3870 with a modded bios? Winflash does not works because of the bad crc of the file (i edited it with hexedit to modify gpu frequency and voltage).
Thank you.
Bye

As far as I know all bios to this point have used the same command line when flashing with ATIflash in dos....Cant say for certain tho with the 3870 , its just an assumption from me that it would be the same.
