with black friday coming up
and these amazing deals on 42" lcd 1080p
i cant pass it up!!

i was thinking whether or not it'd be a good idea to use it as my primary monitor for the new pc im getting

they run at 1920x1080 resolution...which is the same as 24" LCDs, so it shouldnt be a problem with 8800gt SLI, right?

EDIT: seems as though i find the 24" samsung 245BW at circuit city for $330 much more appealing

Obviously the pro is high res > higher quality. The downside is processing power required, however the SLI setup should be able to handle it.

Pretty much what Dan said. I played quake wars and Quake 4 on 42" LCD's at Quakecon and HOLY SHIT, I loved it. Of course, I was playing it on a machine with an 8800GTX.

The GT's should be able to push nearly any game at that resolution.
