Hello everyone

1st post on here, i've just bought a new pc case for the starting block for my 1st ever pc build (it's a tt soprano) now the hard part is knowing what to put inside it, as it says in the title i have a blank canvas, but i dont really have much to spend and i want to get the pc built for the xmas period.

I will be using it solely for gaming, budget is about £300 any ideas?

Save up a bit more money... Hopefully someone from the UK can help you out with where to buy the stuff.

You're going to have to save dude. £300 isn't enough to make a decent gaming PC.

agreed, you'll need an good grafix card which is good money, and then you'll need a good cpu so that the grafix isn't bottlenecked, and then you'll want a good pci 2 mobo for the video card & cpu and then you've gone way over your budget

I am also on the save wagon, you won't get a whole lot for the money you have. Better to wait a bit and save rather than buy crap.

Hi again guys

Yeah thanks for your responses i think your all right in regards to the fact that if i should want a decent-ish games playing based pc i best save up and get better components then rather going for some cheap rubbish. :toast:

And ebuyer seems to be the site to go for in regards to finding decent products that are cheaper than anywhere else seen some decent-ish stuff on ebay too

Anyway so far this is what i've selected from ebuyer (is it a good selection?)

Motherboard - http://www.ebuyer.com/product/110731

you need £500 to build a whole pc from nothing if you want gaming in mind!

when you do check out overclockers.co.uk aswell!

this is what i could do, but if you were to spend a little more you could get a lot more!!ie core2 duo, better psu and maybe better video card!!

http://www.overclockers.co.uk/viewcart.php

if you have got a monitor or and things at all then you need £650+

well the list has some things i might not get like the MSI motherboard which many (including me) think are not that good, so a gigabyte P35 or asus P35 board will be more than that Msi.
i would get the 8800gt or the 3870 over the 3850 any day but they do cost more. and the case he said he has already so scratch that off the list.

you are looking at about the best rig your gonna get for 500 and you should have 600 budget so you dont have to compromise on things like your video card plus you will need cpu cooler and case fans not to mention if you want lights or gaming keyboard & mouse.

start shopping with a 600 budget and hope you dont spend it all, but you will by the time your done.
