Sure, there's the prestige. But like most jobs of perceived "authority", you're under pressure to conform to the higher authority. Any attempt to change the rules, and you and your job are under massive scrutiny. And as a spy...you're screwed.

There's also the whole secretive thing. You can't tell anyone you're a spy, or else you're going to wake up one morning and find your clean-water supply has been laced with lead, cyanide, and arsenic. Or there's a grenade in your car's gas tank. Or the wood used to built your house was "stained" with propane....you get the idea.

Being a spy is over-rated. I'll take a stable, modest-paying, and rewarding job any day.

Emphatically NO. You know what foreign countries DO to spies if they catch them? I guarantee that it aint pretty. On top of that, I have extreme morality issues, no way can I do something wrong just because a superior wants it done, I have to have my own reasons.
