that is growing between the performance in amd/intel and amd/nvidia.
what happened to the company we all went to when nvidia couldnt get up to snuff, remember the 9800pro anyone? or the x800 series unlocks,or the 2 years almost that athlon64 dominated intel. what has happened, did they simply allow their company's developement to stagnate ?
or does the root of what has happened lie deeper within the company itself.
im just wondering what everyone thinks about what happened to amd im bored and at work once again !!. :nutkick:

i think AMD/ATI is/are just laying in wait to pounce and pulverize.
think they were being nice and letting intel/nvidia make some money

Must be teething problems between the merger of amd/ati, a lot of top managment changes as well so it will take time but i think things will get better, i like ati but i have to admit vodoo cards were great i had a vodoo 3 card i used to play Medal of honour on it anyways i think ati have allways given better value for money, first of all the 9600pro then the x800gto then the 1950pro then the merger and a lot of problems, the hd2xxx series was a dissapointment the 2900pro was way to late as when it came out what a few weeks later there were newer better cheaper cards out but i have say ive been waiting and i want a hd3870 because frankly its the best value for money card out, also i think the 3850 is a good mid range card also better than anything below the 8800gt
as for amd/intel not sure about amd but intel was really the only cpu out up till the amd duron/xp, intel had some crap cpu like pentium 3 and celeron, it also had the pentium 4 that was confusing and mostly found in offices, where as amd had the athlon xp cpu the amd athlon 64 really good cpu and then the x2 processors, intel had the dual core Pentium D. intel rules with performacne with core 2 processors really at a time when AMd is still adjusting to the merger which could take years
or AMD is going down and it just seems like intel is doing really good because amd is doing so bad
mind you its no coinsidence that amd has been like this after the merger

I think it's because Intel and Nvidia are bigger companies...that's really it. They got more money to throw around so they can build a fab without worrying about money problems. They also have more money to put into R&D....oh and p3 was pretty kick ass...especially considering that core 2 is a descendant of pentium 3.
