So it's winter time again and my core2 just isn't putting out enough heat to keep me warm :(

At least that piece-of-s*** D805 I had running at 3.6GHz on air kept me warm XD

Well you're only at 3.0 on that 6600, ramp up the voltage and go for 3.5...that oughtta ramp up the temps some! If not, shoot for 4.0GHZ! WooT!

No sense burning up a perfectly good chip. lol

True, but if it loads at 50-55C and is stable, and he uses it for folding, that should pump out some decent heat imo. Hard saying what will happen to the power bill, probably not too much imo. But a 6600 at 3.0 is a decent OC, but that chip still has room depending on his voltage and temps, if he wants PD805 temps though, he'll have to go for the 4.0 realm lol!

Not like I am telling him to burn down his system to create heat or anything...:D
That would be against my beliefs of TPU, lol.

My D805 last year hit just over 70c at full load, and that resulted in a nice gush of hot air out of the back of my case - I had two 120mm fans sucking air into the case and 1 120mm fan blowing it out the back with the specific intention of warming my room up XD

You should overclock the 805 to it's max and fold on it 24/7 with SMP at 100%

LoL! That thing could heat the basement of a small house IMO!
