I recently sold a lot of games I no longer play on eBay and have to ship the CDs in their jewel cases. I imagine USPS is the cheapest, but I'm wondering when I go to the post office tomorrow what is the absolute cheapest way to ship them, and how much does delivery confirmation cost..which I imagine I should get?

Depends how much you are shipping. If you are shipping a single CD w/ jewel case, or a few, then get a padded envelope and ship via first class. The package will arrive in the mailbox of the recipient, rather than a USPS truck.
I personally always use Priority Mail to ship stuff. Its like $4.50ish for first 1-2lb and then 50c-1$ per pound after that. Delivery Confirmation is about 50c I would have to say. I'm saying this from memory though, so it might be wrong but its really cheap... USPS' tracking service is very poor though and you get updates a day or two late.
CDs aren't very heavy so expect it to be from $5-7 at most. Unless your sending like a 100 cd collection or something.
For reference, I sent a PS2 w/ 5 games and a bunch of goodies to the PR for about $15-20.

I'm shipping 1 cd to one person, but about 8 total to 8 different people. What should I use in that case and how much would that be?

Use what's called "media mail". Basically a reduced rate for something not totally big enough to send priority or parcel. It is a tad cheaper than priority but a little bit more than regular postage.
I beleive you can use any additional services you would like on them too. Signature requested costs more than delivery confirmation, IIRC.
Hope this helps! ;)
