I was just curious as to the benefits of having a nvidia video card with a p6n nvidia chipset motherboard as opposed to an ati card. Do these chipsets utilize their respective video card counterparts far better, or does the advantage lie solely in the use of a double video card setup? Thanks for any input.

None in a single card application. I used an ATI card in an Nvidia chipset just fine, there is no noticable difference.

its mainly for sli/xfire setups but some nvidia chipsets have options to increase the performnce on their own cards.

But any difference is very minor, hardly any to be exact and then it's hard to prove it.

The only difference in Nvidia GPU Ex (which you won't be able to use). When in use, it's only worth about one FPS anyway.
