Well my new MSI-790x motherboard just arrived:rockout:
I have to say the layout on this thing is awesome. The extras that even come with this board surprises me. For example even give you two internal crossfire bridges!!!
To bad the Quad isn't here, and I have to RMA some memory to use with this board:banghead:
I'll take some pics when I hunt down my camera.

Congrats! :toast:
Did you already sell your current CPU or will you feed us with some benchmarks comparing it to the (arriving) Phenom? :)
Looks like almost no review site is testing a AMD K9 CPU on a 790(F)x board.. which sucks.
Pics? :rockout:

In the book it says if you have MSI Video cards you can change the fan settings ,along with the voltage settings.
If you don't have a MSI card, I'm sure that you could flash your card into one if it is on the reference PCB board.-

Well the memory that I have is being RMAed and the FX-62 I'm unsure if it is good anymore.
I'll get to play with it next week.

MSI is mediocre. I hate to burst your bubble, but you could've done better than MSI :)

Not this time around.:toast:
Amd is saying this is the OC board this time around. This Platinum looks to have all the options.

Hey, did you order the K9A2 CF-F (790X) or platinum (790FX) because you say 790X board. I just ordered the 790X board off clubit, and I should be getting it soon. I'd prefer the 790FX board, but it is impossible to find. Any locations available?

No offense 3991, I'd take a budget MSI board over a budget Asus board anyday. But then again that's not what this thread is about.
@DM
Sorry for crapping and going o/t, What is the ram/vid card you pairing with that board? HD3870's or the good old "more-lives-than-a-cat" 2900XT? :p

msi make plenty of good boards, as well as plenty of shite ones
general rule of thumb (though not definative): black pcb= good, red pcb=bad

Actually, I cancelled my MSI order and decided to go with the GigaByte 790FX DS5 model. More expensive, but it looks like it will be worth it over the MSI board. I'm still under budget for this new PC, as I skimped on the processor and only spent -$10 on this new AMD 4000+.
I'm looking to move to the Tolimans next March. Hooray for the "Quad Rejects!"
