I succesfully detected this clock gen ICS954123 on a pentium m rig. An acer 8100 laptop.

It has a i915 mobo.

When applying read i get funky measurements.

A 400 Megahertz FSB. It should be 133 Mhz at full speed. ?

Or 533 if it measures the datarate and not the clock but i doubt it :).

If I set the cpu in battery mode 800 Mhz. It detects a 4588 Mhz cpu :D .

And the other readings are also screwy.

Any ideas ?

Is there just no support for laptops or is this a bug you can fix ?

Haven't tried writing any FSB settings. Have already crashed this laptop once. It ain't easy to reflash its bios :o .

then you have the wrong clock generator .. most chips from ics have only the vendor id to detect them .. so your chip is most probably from ics but another model

systool doesnt modify the bios .. the clock change is done when powering off / reset
