Flashing...?

so, since im kinda a newb...what exactly is flashing. I mean i know that it like unlocks piplines and stuff but like what are you doing when you flash the BIOS? is it easy? is it woth doing to a Radeon X800PRO, or can you even do it?

Its kinda replacing stuff, overvrite the old BIOS with the new one. See, I flashed my VGA, from a 9800Pro to an XT, it was okay.
I flashed the motherboard as well, but the BIOS wasnt porper, I mean its not the best one, so the DDR in now at 333, insted of 400mhz.
Overall, its not a difficult operation, but be careful what BIOS U use.
