i have an ECS 848-P and the BIOS it comes with sucks...is there like a utility or can i download a better BIOS for it to make it easier to OC my Intel P4 3.0 HT

sucks as in what? can you adjust FSB, vcore, vdimm? can you adjust anything? lol Well, if you've already updated your BIOS to the latest, than that's it..

i can adjust like CPU HZ...its set at 200HZ right now and i can go to 250...is that what i want?

hold your horses there.. always go in small increments if you have not OCed your hardware before and don't know how well they OC. Go in 5Mhz increments, reboot, and test for stability. Have a read of the many overclocking guides out there.

ECS boards suck for overclocking. It lacks Voltage adjustments and such.
The only thing you probably can do, is try adjusting the FSB in small increments of 5mhz, and testing the stability of the system with each increase.
I use prime95's torture test to see the stability of my cpu. ;)

Before you OC make sure you can lock the PCI/AGP clocks as well.
