Found this game in development by Creative Sparks.
It was supposed to be an expansion pack for Sid Meier's Pirates! but ended up being it's own game.
I can only describe this as a huge FPS pirate game with so much more.

A Massive Game:-
Estimated to be 4DVD's worth of data upon release and has just recently been struck a deal with EA and nVidia.

Highly Moddable:-
This game has been made with modding in mind so there will be tools included with the game once it is released.

Release Date:-
Pirate Simulator is currently in the last Alpha Stage and should be ready for release by the 4th quater of 2008.

yeahhh I hope this rocks! its hard to get a good pirate game nowadays.. I remember a real good one I played like 10 years back? Ive tried some newer ones they all didnt quite grab my attention.

To me the game seems quite Oblivion like in the graphics department but apparently the screenshots are on low detail.

Pirate simulator will also make use off PPU to bring your frames up.

Pirate Simulator is also just a working title so it maybe under a different name on release.

I like the concept of how you need to get a score a woman or man and have children to carry on the pirate legacy once your original character is too old to live the pirating lifestyle instead of the game just getting too hard and difficult.

It's also going to be an exspansion pack type game as it will start off in the Carribean but once they Creative Sparks creates more maps the game will expand futher out around the globe.

There was also talk about a childrens and an adult version of the game.
Which has been changed to just an adult version with a filter for children to play.

There's also talk about BETA testers.
There's only a small amount of forum members so if you show your interest and stay around when Creative Sparks asks for testers you might get the chance.
