Maximus Extreme if money isn't the problem.
Its an Intel Chipset but it has a Cross Fire capabilities.

Why only Asus and only Ati chipsets? You're really limiting the choice there.

I like ASUS boards and I am an ATI fanboy so I might want crossfire and stuff in future,

what socket 775 boards that take the new Crossfire X are there from asus that overclock well and are stupidly pricey

Well the top ranged Asus boards are very good, my last board was an Asus but TBH they are easily matched by Gigabyte these days, if you have the cash I can recommend my board, the Gigabyte x38 DQ6, it has full 16 x 16 Xfire support, has 12 phase power, overclocks like a monster, has had generally as good if not better reviews than the Asus Maximus range....ohhhhh and is cheaper! (only speaking in UK price terms there).

If you dontwant to spend quite that, the x38 DS5 is a bit cheaper and has 8 phase, again 16 x 16 or you could try for a Gigabyte P35 DQ6 or DS4 but generally P35's have 16 x 4 crossfire.
