Right I would like this info on my two moherboards:
ics 952619 cf for the DFI i865PE,
ics 952601 ef for the Intel S875WP1-E
lol
I would like to find away to overclock my intel board since intel dont like you fiddling with the bios so there is no overclocking options in there and systool can only edit the memory timings, but cant find the correct readings for fsb and other system clocks
a pointer for finding a overclocking tool for this mobo, or if wizzard would like to try adding this clockgen to his very neat systool :D
rofl
systool thinks I have 51,405.4v going through my intel mobo on the LM85 sensor

The DFI should be a great OC'er thru the BIOS with plenty of options and adjustments. Its always best to use the BIOS rather than rely on Software

Intel boards are locked from overclocking. They are great if you just want a extremly stable non overclocking board.

Yea I know the DFI is a good at overclocking, but its the canterwood I want to overclock and because its intel its seems to be locked, I was hoping there was a overclocking tool that would still work with it though.
Before you ask why I am choosing to use a non-oc'd 875P, instead of a i865PE, its because I did a few benchmarks and found the 875P to work alot faster at default clocks so while I am waiting for a solution that may never come I tightened my ram timings. ps PAT is great :D
ty for the replies :)

Thats why i only do Intel. Although Intel released their Desktop Control Center for intel boards 865 and up. you can OC the bus +/-30% which means 800Mhz can become almost as fast as an Extreme Edition. which is 1040Mhz, only 26Mhz short of 1066 on Extreme Edition. So i think my soon to be new computer will be awesome with it's Pentium 4 670 3.8Ghz with an FSB at 1040Mhz. It will out perform a 3.73Ghz EE by a little. 670 is faster in total by 44Mhz i think. not much but will save me a few hundred bucks compared to EE. Plus the fact i'm buying the HP xw4300 Workstation Factory Tuned

I can OC my intel board, I just use CPUFSB and load the ICS 952607 PLL profile, my board has a "OC locked" ICS 952601 PLL (the same used in some "locked" Dell mobos too), but if I use a different profile I can OC it with CPUFSB without problems :)

Well thats why I have sorted of posted a plee here, in the hope that some one could find away round this mobo's crappy clockgen, I have tried the similiar clockgens in systool but they either crash or give incorrect readings.
When I said Intel have locked their mobos, I should have said that I was refering to the older chipsets, the pcie mobos seem to be overclockable.
I hope there is a way around this clockgen :/
Oh and the DCC doesnt support my motherboard, even though its intel :/

well my specs on my signature as on my new computer coming with in the month on my HP xw4300 Workstation. downside about HP's mobo is that they make their own mobo's which are good just not overclockable. so i will find the clock generator and post it as soon as i get it. and can sys tool over clock the FSB beyond my 1040Mhz maximum with Intel Desktop Control Center. The thing i am going to like a lot besides the specs and gaming potential, is the fact that my monitor has a composite input and S-Video input built in because the video card makes it look fuzzy. the only thing i like that is cause my projector for my Xbox broke and i will be able to play my Xbox on the monitor. (i have an 18in. T.V. which is crap when i sit on my bed playing Xbox a few feet away. so it seems like a bigger picture siting on my computer.) but i have a question should i go with puting in a VCR and use a composite connection (yellow cable) to watch T.V. on my monitor, or get a T.V. card and which one? i know it's a little off topic but i can't find whats better in my research. I think it would be kink ass if i could make my FSB on my new computer equal to the EE's 1066Mhz Bus or even better. if i do OC the FSB should i get a better chipset cooler? and trust me guys as soon as i get my new computer i will PCMark05 and 3DMark05 the computer when i get it, and again after i swap the FireGL 3100 with the X850XTPE, and again when i OC the Video Card, and again after i get all the other modifications i plan on installing so basically every little variable in my computer that changes i will probably post and keep in a record, plus i can't wait till the new ATI X900XTPE comes out, and how long will it take to get the ATITool to work with the ATI X900's?
