Hi guys.

I can buy a Thermalright 120 Extreme for €60. Or i can buy a brand new Thermaltake Big Water.
The water cooling kit comes with a extra Zalman block and 4 extra neon lights. This costs me €80.

But here is my question. Can the Thermaltake keep up with the Thermalright when i oc my cpu to lets say 3.6?
I just want to buy the best for performance. The price is not really a problem. But i think the Thermaltake is a pretty sweet deal. Although many experienced water cooling freaks would say not to but the Thermaltake because it is cheap.

However this would be a nice step in the direction to get familiar with liquid cooling.
And i won't mind upgrading the set over time. Lets say a few months.
Expensive times so i don't have the cash to buy a €200 set.

So please give your opinion.

Thanks.

For your first WC setup, I see no problem with getting the Bigwater. Like you said, its not going to be the greatest performer, but I think it's a great start if you plan on going to a serious water setup at some point in the future. That, and of course, the price is right. I was considering getting t_ski's TT 760i in F/S section, but since I just got the TRUE a couple of months ago, changed my mind. Not sure which Bigwater your looking at, and I don't own a Quad or Bigwater, so cant comment on their performance against each other, but t_ski did a review of the 760i in the review section (if you havent already checked it out).

Well m8 i am thinking for a year now to go water.
But never really came true. I now the Thermalright is a :rockout: cooler but water attracts me more.
And like i say buying a good component every few weeks leads me to a better future, cooling wise. Then the Thermalright.

Me also, but been chicken to do so. With the Bigwater and other complete kits, it at least takes out the issues of what parts do you need (ie - correct Barb sizes/thread types/tube sizes etc.) so it makes it a little easier when you first get into WC. Only pitfall going with a Bigwater or other kit, is if you decide you want to change tube sizes - ie going to 1/2" OD tubes - then your probably looking at an overhaul, or at least alot of adapters to convert. Good luck whatever you decide.

I am not going for that one but the 735.:)
That one doesn't have all those stupid clams and connectors.;)

But like i said i don't have the cash for a custom build set.

Btw. t_ski gave it a 8.8. Not to bad Imo.

thermaltake big water isnt very good. definitely go with the ultra 120 extreme. just be prepared to lap it cuz those are freaking convex at the bottom.
