View Full Version : Gonna lap my E6400 and the TRUE

ey guys, anyone had any experience with this or any tips, would be awesome if you could :toast:
i got 400-800-1200 grit sandpaper, i hope thats ok lol
i noticed my e6400 isnt well exactly flat and is kinda concaved :( and my ultra 120 extreme is concave aswell, so i know im not getting a good enough contact, so i thought might as well give it a go :roll:

should i lap the TRUE using circular motions or back and forth and turning 90 degrees every once in a while

always go in one direction rotating 90 degrees each time you finish sanding in that direction
circular motion will round off the edges and create a concave finish so dont do it.

hehe :), i asked wiz if we could have a networking section, so he set one up and asked me if i want to be moderator for the networking, and i was like o.OOOOOOO, hell yeah :D
said he likes me, and so do the other mods :D
i think the members like me... dont ya o.O

solaris is a mod for my forum, and helps out with my site, so he was pleased i got the mod position :)
thermo, polaris and ulryin are nice and zek is awesome :cool:

hehe spent about 2 hours lapping :D
was idleing at 36 degrees now at 33 degrees :)
load went down from 48 degrees to 44 :)
btw this is my e6400 @ 2.61GHz, northbridge is on 1.6v and my cpu is at 1.5625v lol, my mobo can only keep my overclock stable at high volts :(
