Silence is an issue
cooling is an issue
this does not work out because Performance = cooling - silence
I need the best silence for performance, for cooling case :twitch:
these are what I found to be top of the line, im open to any suggestions
Antec p182

I say the 900 wil be the coolest (temp) case in the group. Plus with 3speed switches on all 4 fans it can be set down to your ears specifications, or turned up balls out for OC'ing goodness...just my 2 pennies!

The p182 is excellent for quiet operation, not so good for cooling. That's why my p182 houses my second rig, which has just a mild OC. The 900 is excellent for cooling, but it's hard to get it quiet even on low settings, not to mention a PITA to keep clean. Don't know much about the NZXT case.

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811146038 I read a review (forget where) that said its good cooling (3x120 mm + 1 80 mm + 1 optional 80mm) and is pretty quiet. For straight up cooling, Antec 900 wins, hands down. Oh and I think the case in the link is sexyyyy

Its very heard to balance Cooling with Silence OR you buy a fan controller which pretty much like having your cake and eating another cake just like it =P
If you dont want to spend $200-$300 (lian li/silverstone)
Coolermaster RC-690 (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811119137) is a great cooling case for the price
oh and about the switches for the fans in the Antec 900 (what a pain!! you'd have to open up the case every time flick 3 of thoes lil switches then close the case... rinse and repeat if you want to change them back...
My case has 8 fans with all of them turned full speed its loud as $*** but when turned all the way down its a nice calm hum

RC690 VS Antec 900.
The thing you have to consider, to get similar cooling results as the 900, you'd need to spend a good deal of money on some fans that are quiet and decently featured, lets see, two at the top, and one bottom, one side. In all after you install all the fans, the RC690 ends up as the more expensive case.
The 900, has two 120mm intakes, I've used one before, they move so much air, and without the filters mounted basically are very efficient. Note, the reason why the P182 isnt that good is thanks to it's filters cutting down intake airflow by a hell of a lot. When the fans are low, I have to admit, the airflow that all the fans give is enough, its damn quiet not silent thanks to the turbulence.
Neo Crisis, its not a pain in the arse to flick those switches.
One thing that craps the antec 900 up is how hard it is to get it neat without any modding. I got my one neat without any modding, but I doubt any other TPU members can do as neat without busting out the dremel.
Also, Antec 900 = Quiet + Cool, I sometimes punch myself for not getting a 900, and a motherboard that has a proper layout, as well as a proper cooler. From lets say, 1m away the 900 at low fan speed is silent.

I take all cases into account and since I want to OC rather than sitting quiet, ill get the Antec 900 and see how ell it goes from there (I dont know where Ill get a replacement 200mm fan if that one breaks down

$70 is just as nice as the other ones and i can vouch for the cooling as i have one of the older ones that actually have 80mm fans VS the 120mm fans in this one
this keeps my ambients w/i 2C of room temps and i can ONLY here hte single high speed fan which is just flat out load its not the cases fault but the loud fans

The Antec 900 will be cooler, but the P182 is a beautiful, quiet, quality case! Go for it.

Thats not the Antec 1000.... its a plusview. Plus view = discontinued.
There is NO such thing as the Antec 1000, antec havent even decided what they'd call the successor of the Antec 900 yet.

whats the most you would pay for a case,, this case is both cool & silent , the two side fans and two top fans can be replaced with 140mm fans, http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811119137 and this case runs all silent 120mm fans, but cost more http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811119122

i should be getting my antec p182 today i actually predict it will have good cooling if you consider buying good quiet fans with high static pressure.
then you have have the top and rear fan at about medium then a high speed one at bottom fan of the top chamber, low speed fan in the bottom chamber
you will have a diagonal stream of air starting at the bottom of your case going all the way across the mobo to the hottest spot the top rear and most importantly it will be quiet and dust free which cuts down on upkeep alot
