So I ordered me this new cooler and I go to put it on Saturday. I get it on, and only to find out my motherboard uses 3 pin fan headers for every thing (nb fan, cpu fan, aux fans, etc) The cooler itself has a 4 pin connector. Now Im left with no where to plug my fan into to make it work. Does anyone have any suggestions or websites I could order something from to make it work? Thanks.

Umm... it still works on a three pin connector if it's like mine. Just plug it in how it fits.
The only one problem with using a four pin connector on a three pin motherboard is that sometimes there are capacitors right next to the fan header so it doesn't fit, but I'm using an AC Freezer 64 Pro on my mobo fine and that's only three pin.
it fits on the 3 pin by the cpu

It also has little rail things that prevent it from being put on a 3pin wrong:)

Well my friend here at work told me it should work, that the one not plugged in is an rpm thingy. However, when I did put it on the CPU fan, it didnt work. Should I try it on the other fan header near the socket? It slid on there just fine and seemed to struggle a bit on the cpu fan header. I also could have it keyed on wrong and left unconnected the power plug and have theother rpm thing plugged in.
Oh and thanks :)

Anyone know if one of these will fit on a IHS-less opty 185 without modification? I fancy upgrading my cooler but don't fancy altering the retention bracket!

They will fit....but you must do a little mod....its not much. Takes all of 5 mins. You just have to block the holes on the mounting bracket. PM me and ill do a big ol' how-to for you:)
