I am using the ATi Tool to over-clock my ATi Radeon X700 Pro 256MB GDDR3 - AGP Card... I have managed to overlock it to safe limits, or shall I say, ATi tool has done that for me :)Im currently running at 445/505 core/mem.
My question is about the fan settings. I want the fan to run according to the temp and I was wondering what settings are recommended? I was messing around with the settings on the tool and I then hit default to revert back to original but the settings the tool reverted to were not the ones I started out with originally.
So far, the hottest my GPU has gotten is 63 when it is Heating up, It's usually 61-62 during gameplay, and 42-43 when I am just doing stuff on the desktop. I have the Tool setup so that the overclocked profile kicks in only when a 3D app is launched, and it reverts back to the regular clock settings when the 3D app exits....I have the fan set as follows:
0-59 temp - 45%
60-above - 70%
70-above - 80%
80-above - 95%
90-above - 100%
100-above - 100%
110-above - 100%
I have not had any problems thus far and everything runs perfectly...but I just wanted to make sure my fan settings werent too high or low because I don't want to damage the card in the long run.
Thanks!
